The last couple of months have shown that our resilient community is strong, kind and committed to looking after each other.

Our Taranaki Community Fund 2020 established to help Taranaki people through COVID-19 received many generous donations already. The response from our community has been remarkable!

Thanks so much to many of you for offering support, aroha and awhi to some of the most vulnerable people in the Taranaki region.

On behalf of Te Karaka Foundation, we would also like to convey our most sincere thank you for the incredibly generous donation received from The Tindall Foundation to support the Taranaki community through these difficult times of COVID-19.

Te Karaka Foundation has gifted in recent weeks $30,000 to community groups as a response to the COVID-19 crisis. The funds were distributed between the Roderique Hope Trust, New Plymouth Emergency Shelter Trust, Tutaki Youth Inc Trust, Hāwera Budget Advisory Service Inc, New Plymouth Budget Advisory Service Inc and Kai Kitchen.
