Grace Wesolowska

Grace is also a Trustee of the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce, Taranaki Retreat Trust and she runs her own consulting business.

She has advanced her career from Design and Sales Manager in Australia to Chief Executive Officer in New Zealand and Regional Director in Europe working for large global listed businesses and smaller privately-owned businesses. Her focus over her career has spanned a variety of sectors from construction to manufacturing, retail, import and export, property development and recently a move into the not-for-profit sector.

Grace believes that philanthropy begins with a strong sense of community and togetherness rather than a focus on the individual. It is the community that individuals create together, that is the engine that moves everyone forward.

Originally from Poland and with a career that has taken her all over the world, Grace and her family are now proud to call Taranaki home.

“I have always had a desire to engage in something bigger than myself that has a real social impact where I can see positive change for future generations and I feel very privileged to become part of Te Karaka Foundation and to lead such an inspiring team of people. We are the only charity in the Taranaki region set up to encourage generosity that will benefit our local community now and for generations to come. I see Te Karaka being the catalyst of the whole community in helping people in need now and in the future and making the entire region a wonderful and prosperous place to live for everyone”.
